MICHAEL SWITZER
Mr. Switzer graduated with Honors from the University of Florida in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in International Business Economics. He completed the UF Honors program and was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society. In 2003 he received his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Florida College of Law. While at the University of Florida College of Law, Mr. Switzer was a certified legal intern for the State Attorney, Eighth Judicial Circuit, and clerked for Avera & Avera, P.A., a personal injury firm.
Mr. Switzer was admitted to the Florida Bar in May 2004. Thereafter, he began his practice as a Title Attorney for LandAmerica in the Florida panhandle, running the commercial closing department of one of LandAmerica’s largest Florida agents while also working with a small law firm representing developers and lending institutions. He is a member of the Palm Beach Bar Association, and is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
Mr. Switzer has tried a number of cases to verdict, including matters involving pharmaceutical/drug liability, premises liability, construction defects and automobile negligence. He currently focuses his practice on matters involving products liability, premises liability, construction defect and surety defense, automobile and trucking negligence, as well workers' compensation subrogation recovery.
Mr. Switzer joined Adams, Coogler, Watson, Merkel, Barry & Kellner, P.A. in 2006.
